Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026.
Portugal Path respects your privacy. This policy explains how personal information is handled when you visit portugalpath.com, submit an enquiry or communicate with us, and how cookies and similar technologies are used.
1. Data controller
Portugal Path is operated by Feitiço de Júpiter, Portuguese registration number 518847837. Published business contact address: Rua da Fé, No. 57/59, 1150-149 Lisboa, Portugal. For privacy requests contact info@portugalpath.com.
2. Personal information we handle
- Contact requests: your name, email and message, including any details you choose to supply.
- Technical and security data: IP address, approximate device/browser details, timestamps and logs relevant to operating and securing the site.
- Accounts and transactions, if used: details supplied to manage an account or available purchase.
- Analytics: consent choice and, if you opt in, analytics-related online identifiers and usage events.
Do not send passport scans, health records, criminal records or other sensitive documents via our general contact form. Ask for an appropriate secure transfer process if those documents are needed.
3. Why and on what basis data is processed
We respond to enquiries and take requested pre-contractual steps under GDPR Article 6(1)(b), or our legitimate interests in responding to general enquiries under Article 6(1)(f), depending on context. We process data needed to operate and secure the site under legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) and applicable legal duties (Article 6(1)(c)). Where relevant, account or transaction records are processed for contractual performance and legal obligations. Optional analytics involving personal information rely on consent (Article 6(1)(a)) and applicable Portuguese cookie consent rules.
Submitting the contact form does not subscribe you to marketing. Any separate promotional subscription requires its own suitable legal basis.
4. Service providers and sharing
Website hosting, email, technical administration and security providers may handle data when necessary for their services. Our website uses WordPress, security tools and Google Analytics. Depending on which features you use, other embedded-content, account or checkout providers may process relevant information. We do not publicly display your contact-form message.
5. Cookies and analytics choices
Essential cookies and related storage may be needed for site security, sessions and account or checkout features. Optional analytics help us understand site usage. The Google Analytics identifier configured for this site is G-GJLMSR30S1. If you choose to accept optional analytics, Google services may set cookies such as _ga and related identifiers.
When offered a choice, you can Accept analytics or Reject optional cookies, without losing essential site functions. You can revisit that decision using Cookie settings in the footer and delete stored cookies using your browser controls. Google’s own processing is explained in its Privacy Policy.
6. International transfers
Service providers may process data outside Portugal or the European Economic Area. Where that occurs, any relevant transfer must comply with applicable GDPR safeguards, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual protections. Ask us for details of relevant safeguards.
7. How long records are kept
We keep enquiries as long as necessary to resolve the request and directly related follow-up. Longer retention may be justified by a service relationship, statutory record-keeping requirements, disputes or security incidents. Transaction and technical records follow their relevant operational and legal needs. Cookie preferences remain in your browser until changed or cleared; optional analytics cookies may have provider-defined lifetimes. You may ask about retention of a particular record.
8. Your rights
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in data protection law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent for future processing. Contact info@portugalpath.com. We may need reasonable identity verification before providing personal information. You also have the right to complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD.
9. Security
We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information. No online transmission can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. For sensitive documents, ask for an appropriate method rather than the public enquiry form.
10. Updates
We may revise this notice as our technology, services or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest website version. Send questions to info@portugalpath.com.
